Chef Nandu Jubany and the restaurants Vogamarí and 190 Pasos, protagonists of the Formentera Awards 2025

The members of the Ibiza and Formentera Academy of Gastronomy have unanimously decided to award the Formentera prizes for the 2025 season to chef Nandu Jubany and the restaurants Vogamarí and 190 Pasos.

Nandu Jubany receives the award for his work in the kitchen and for his entrepreneurial spirit. The chef owns four restaurants in Formentera—Can Carlitos, Es Còdol Foradat, Pecador Formentera, and Agua Aire—which together form his unique culinary universe on the island.

Jubany draws inspiration from traditional Catalan and Mediterranean recipes, combining them with contemporary approaches. The result is a cuisine that celebrates tradition through a modern interpretation and high-quality ingredients.

Vogamarí restaurant has been recognized for its commitment to preserving the traditional recipes of Formentera and the Mediterranean. The establishment is characterized by its use of fresh, high-quality ingredients and has established itself as a leading restaurant for enjoying the island's cuisine. Its chef, Toni Mayans, combines creativity and tradition through a cuisine closely linked to the sea and its bounty.

For its part, the restaurant 190 Pasos, opened four seasons ago, receives recognition for demonstrating that it is possible to develop a creative, fusion cuisine that incorporates other culinary traditions from a simple, youthful perspective focused on customer enjoyment. Its menu prioritizes top-quality, local produce, with a cuisine based on technique and simplicity.

The awards ceremony will take place next Sunday, September 27, at Hannah's restaurant.
