Campania Wine 2026: Campanian wines set their sights on foreign markets

The third edition of Campania Wine will take place in Naples: one hundred wineries, masterclasses, and a regional plan for Campanian wine on international markets.

The event that unites passion for wine and the local area in the heart of Naples has come to a close. Campania Wine celebrates the recent success of its third edition, following two days of tastings, masterclasses, and cooking demonstrations that showcased the extraordinary heritage of local wine. Over one hundred wineries participated, from winemakers from Irpinia and Sannio to those from Vesuvius and the Phlegraean Fields, from the province of Caserta to the Sorrento Peninsula, including Cilento and the Amalfi Coast. A success crowned by a large audience in the Galleria Umberto I and presentations by experts, authorities, and local producers.

Made in Campania is also strengthening its presence on the foreign market.

Not just tastings, with walk-around tastings of hundreds of local products, but a journey to discover a vibrant land that still has so much to offer. During the event, the MUSAP—Museo Artistico Politecnico di Napoli—hosted meetings, masterclasses, and opportunities to explore not only the region's food and wine offerings but also the visions of a constantly growing region.

"Made in Campania" products aim to play an increasingly important role in markets beyond the national borders. Starting this year, Campania Wine is part of the Agri-food Promotion Program promoted by the Campania Region, which includes participation in ten annual wine-related events between now and 2028. The Region's stated goal is to strengthen the presence of Campanian products on national and international markets, while simultaneously promoting the competitiveness of local businesses.

Comments from Campania Wine 2026: Flavor, Innovation, and the Future

A region aiming to grow its wines' ability to attract ever more visitors and enthusiasts. This was the main topic of the forum "Wine Tourism 4.0 in Campania: Territory, Hospitality, and Innovation." The Campania Region's Councilor for Productive Activities, Fulvio Bonavitacola, spoke on the topic: "We must develop a Campanian brand globally. This event must become a major portal for our region's wine production." The Administration also praised the five Consortia, established in the Campania region, which organized the September event.

"Our wine is a cross-cutting force that impacts production, culture, tourism, and art," said Campania Regional Councilor Maria Carmela Serluca (Agriculture). "It's important to join forces to bring our winemaking sector and identity to the national and international stage." Several major projects will be planned in preparation for the 2027 America's Cup: "We're planning to create guided itineraries that will take tourists arriving in Naples on a journey of discovery of the region's beauty, starting right from the capital," stated Naples Councilor for Tourism, Teresa Armato. "We are the second city in Europe with the most extensive urban and metropolitan vineyards, covering over one hundred hectares. They are the second reason tourists choose us, according to the Urban Tourism Observatory: the first is culture."

The final comment on the event came from the Campania Consortia: "Campania Wine is the result of a collaborative effort: transcending the boundaries of individual territories, we present Campania as a great wine region." The two-day event was a satisfying outcome, both in terms of participation and the interest shown in a wine culture that is an integral part of the regional fabric. "What we saw during these two days sends a very clear message: there's a great desire to learn about Campanian wine and discover what lies behind every bottle." Campania Wine concluded its third edition on a high note, with the next already in mind.
