Fábrica de chocolate
Símbolo delicioso de la Pascua, los huevos de chocolate son un regalo indispensable que, gracias a Amedei, satisface incluso a los paladares más exigentes.
A delicious symbol of Easter, chocolate eggs are an indispensable gift that, thanks to Amedei, is suitable for even the most discerning palates. The Tuscan company, renowned worldwide for the quality of its products and for being the most awarded in the industry, with over 90 international awards received over the years, has presented a stunning collection of Easter eggs.
All to try
Only premium cocoa beans, cane sugar, select fruit, and high-quality milk, following a short recipe and a carefully monitored supply chain: these are Amedei's secrets to creating excellent chocolate, which is transformed into chocolate bars and Easter eggs. This year's new additions to the collection are the milk egg, made with precious cocoa beans selected from Madagascar, Ghana, and Venezuela and whole milk, celebrating yet another Tavoletta d'Oro award; the 3-pack of small Dark Selection eggs for true gourmets; and all the 80g mini eggs, allowing everyone to experiment with the many options (these products are available at fine specialty shops, wine shops, delicatessens, and department stores, while the large eggs can also be purchased online). The Dark Selection includes Blanco de Criollo, named after the bean used to create it, Piura Gran Blanco, grown in northern Peru and considered among the finest cocoa in the world; Porcelana, a very rare Criollo cocoa, which produces a light, aromatic chocolate with a sweet and rounded taste, and Nove, made with cocoa from nine different plantations, for a powerful and balanced 75% dark chocolate.
Beautiful to look at, as well as delicious, are the Toscano Frutti Rossi egg, which combines dark chocolate with strawberries, cherries, and dried raspberries; the Toscano Nocciola, which combines milk chocolate with delicately toasted PGI Piedmont hazelnuts; and the Toscano Pistacchio, with white chocolate and Bronte pistachios.
Unsure, or is your family split between dark chocolate and milk chocolate lovers? The two-flavored egg is for you: half Toscano Latte and half Toscano Black, with 70% extra dark chocolate.
A history of successes
Founded in 1990 in Pontedera as an artisanal workshop, Amedei has always adopted a pioneering approach, focused on research and complete control of the supply chain, from the fruit tree to the finished product, with a strong focus on sustainability. Production begins on plantations where local workers and sustainable development are respected; it continues in Tuscan laboratories, with a keen focus on resource conservation, and is completed with product packaging, made, for example, from cocoa husks. Amedei's first major success came in 1998 with the launch of Toscano Black 70, a perfectly balanced 70% extra dark blend with a unique aromatic profile, featuring notes of tobacco, toasted malt, and cedar wood, which remains a milestone in the industry today. In 2008, the most prestigious recognition followed, the Golden Bean, awarded to the new Toscano Black 63 by the Academy of Chocolate in London, one of the most qualified international institutions, which since then has awarded Amedei chocolates with the highest number of Golden Beans ever awarded, making it the most awarded brand in the world.
Other highly successful and innovative products include Blanco de Criollo, a vintage chocolate introduced in 2012, and Acero 95, a blend made from 95% dark chocolate with a bold, mellow flavor. Its defining innovation lies in replacing cane sugar with maple sugar, responding to new health trends and the tastes of consumers interested in eating less but better. In 2019, the company won the Tavoletta d'Oro trophy for the eighth time for Toscano Latte, the best Italian milk chocolate, according to Compagnia del Cioccolato. Today, Amedei is a solid company, part of the Ferrarelle industrial group, with a consistent strategic plan and a young, motivated management team, exporting its products to over 40 countries.
