You might want to leave the evening free because there’s a lovely community dinner happening in Cork city and the food won’t cost you a thing.
Rebel Kitchen at Rebel Reads (Unit 02 in the Marina Commercial Park) is inviting locals to come together for a community meal, with free food being offered in exchange for one very simple thing: your lovely company.
The event is taking place on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7pm, and the organisers are very keen for people to spread the word.
In fact, their message is basically: bring everyone.
“Please share, bring your friends, your neighbours, your ma,” they said.
There’s something rather nice about the idea – no fancy guest list, no need to know anyone beforehand, just turn up, grab a plate and spend the evening around other people from the community.
Whether you’re coming with your mates, bringing the family or simply fancy getting out of the house and meeting some new people, the evening is all about food, community and good company.
