Piedmont's craft breweries at Piazza dei Mestieri

From September 18th to 20th, Turin hosts the 10th edition of Bierfest Platz.

From Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September, Bierfest Platz will celebrate its tenth edition in Turin.

Conceived by Birrificio la Piazza to bring the general public closer to the world of beer, the event is not limited to the spaces of Piazza dei Mestieri but also extends into the pedestrian area of ​​Via Durandi, a stage for meetings and discussions about the world of beer.

In this tenth anniversary year, Riccardo Miscioscia, Master Brewer of Birrificio La Piazza, chose to involve only companies that represent the Piedmontese scene.

THE BREWERIES PRESENT

Friday, September 18

  • stands open from 6pm to midnight;
  • at 6:00 pm the taps will open and a national preview of Wollo beer, dedicated to Marco Andreoni, will be presented;
  • followed by a presentation of the Buona questa birra project, which has united dozens of breweries nationwide in the production of a single, shared recipe beer in the Italian Pils style;
  • concluding with the notes of DJ Vale and his selections of reggae, black music and funky.

Saturday, September 19th

  • stands open from 4pm to midnight;
  • Italian Style, a talk moderated by Luca Giaccone on the companies' history, their production, and the potential evolution of their concept of craft beer;
  • at 7.00 pm guided tour of the La Piazza Brewery, bookable HERE;
  • music with DJ Ludovic Gosmar, active with his mixes on the consoles in Italy and Europe for more than 35 years.

Sunday, September 20th

  • stands open from 12.30pm to midnight;
  • culinary offering curated by Maurizio Camilli and Marco Santelli: piazzaburger, beer-braised shank, pulled pork, Norma sandwich, Sicilian cannoli, croquetas, pulpo a la galega, and tortillas;
  • teaching stations run by the cooking and bar room students at the Piazza dei Mestieri locations;
  • barbering and hairdressing service provided by students of the hairdressing course and Attilio Barbershop;
  • music with DJ Grissino, from Trip Hop to Jungle, through Funk and Breakbeats.
