STM Loves: Bellanue pop-up shop, Plein Air Down Under, Itty Bitty Vintage and Bottomless After Dark

Australia’s largest and longest-running outdoor painting festival will take place next week from September 26-28 across the Mandurah and Peel area.

Plein Air

Australia’s largest and longest-running outdoor painting festival will take place next week from September 26-28 across the Mandurah and Peel area. More than 200 artists are expected to be hard at work with their paintbrushes, and there are workshops for beginners too. For more information and specific locations, visit pleinairdownunder.com.

Bellanue Pop Up

Slow fashion brand Bellanue is hosting a pop-up store in Subiaco from now until October 1. Fashionable Perth locals finally have the chance to shop the small label’s pieces in person, and meet head designer Isabella Gervo while they’re at it. It’s at 83 Rokeby Road and open every day except Tuesday. For more details, visit @bellanue__ on Instagram.

Itty Bitty Vintage

If you’ve ever looked at old photos of your childhood and wished you still had the OshKosh overalls for your own kids, this Perth-based kids’ vintage store is the trip down memory lane you need. Founded by Susie McDougall, the business sources vintage pieces from around the world in a range of sizes and brands, including Disney favourites. It’s become popular among the influencer community too, with Tammy Hembrow recently sharing the pieces she snapped up. Shop at Itty Bitty Vintage.

Saint Peter

Seafood lovers, consider this your new kitchen bible. Acclaimed chef Josh Niland charts a decade of boundary-pushing cooking in new part-cookbook, part-memoir Saint Peter, published by Hardie Grant. It pairs beautiful essays with recipes spanning rock oyster and scampi caviar to fish butchery. It’s $80 and may just make for the perfect Christmas present for those starting their preparations early.

Wake Up

Finally, the perfect product for when the 3pm slump hits and it shows in your under-eye bags — kit: new Wake Up Eye Stick (retailing for $42 at Mecca). Made with Kakadu plum, glycerine and hyaluronic acid, the balm is formulated to reduce puffiness and brighten dark circles. We’re loving it (in the mornings, too). mecca.com.

Bottomless After Dark

Who said bottomless always has to start before sundown? Certainly not two venues with their fingers on the Perth foodie pulse. The Beaufort in Highgate and The Old Synagogue in Fremantle have introduced a Friday evening bottomless after dark series. Fairly priced, at $89 boozy and $65 boozeless at The Beautfort, and $90 boozy and $60 boozeless at the Synagogue, diners can enjoy an endless feast from 7pm. Book online at the Beaufort or at the Old Synagogue ahead of time.
