Littleborough's 5-star spot named among the North West's best takeaways

A Greater Manchester-based business owner has said they are "honoured" that their restaurant and takeaway has been nominated for a "prestigious" award.

Tandoori Flames, located in Littleborough, Rochdale, has been nominated for an ARTA - Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2026. The Rochdale restaurant has been named a Regional Top Ten Finalist for Regional Takeaway of the Year – North West.

The restaurant, which boasts a five-star rating on Just Eat, offers a range of traditional Indian food, fried chicken, as well as tandoori, Balti, masala and biryani dishes.

"Being selected for this prestigious award is an incredible honour and a truly proud moment for our entire team," a spokesperson from Tandoori Flames said.

"After many years of proudly serving our local community and being recognised as a local legend on Just Eat, this achievement is a wonderful celebration of the passion, dedication and hard work that goes into everything we do."

The statement continues: "Our commitment has always been to deliver authentic Indian cuisine, exceptional quality and outstanding service, and to have those efforts recognised in this way is incredibly special.

And in a message shared on their website, the restaurant said to customers: "We sincerely thank all our valued customers for your nominations, trust and continued support.

"Your loyalty inspires us to serve you with excellence every day."

The ARTA 2026 Grand Finale and Gala Evening is set to take place on Monday 12 October, 2026, in London.

There are 11 categories in the ARTA 2026:

• National Asian Fusion Restaurant of the Year.
• National Street Food Restaurant of the Year.
• National Turkish Restaurant of the Year.
• Pan Asian Restaurant of the Year.
• Vegetarian Restaurant of the Year
