Señorío de Sarría Viñedo Cinco 2025, chosen as the best rosé wine in Spain at MUNDUS VINI
Señorío de Sarría Viñedo Cinco 2025 has been chosen as the best rosé wine in Spain at the 39th edition of MUNDUS VINI Summer Tasting.
The Señorío de Sarría winery, part of the BORNOS Vinos & Licores group, stood out among the entries in the competition. Specifically, Viñedo Cinco 2025 received a Gold Medal and the special recognition of "Best of Show Spain – Rosé".
This award recognizes the highest-rated Spanish rosé in the competition. To award it, a jury of 120 international experts blind-tasted 2,830 wines from 40 countries.
Thus, Viñedo Cinco 2025 has positioned itself among the most outstanding wines of this edition. The award also recognizes the work done by Señorío de Sarría with one of its most unique wines.
Garnacha from old vines and tear dripping
Señorío de Sarría Viñedo Cinco 2025 is made with Garnacha grapes. These come from old vines over 70 years old, grown on the winery's property, located in Puente la Reina, Navarra.
The must is obtained using the traditional method of free-run juice extraction. This technique allows the free-run juice to be extracted without applying mechanical pressure to the grape bunches. In this way, the freshness, aromas, and fruity expression of the grapes are preserved.
In the glass, the wine displays an attractive raspberry-red color. On the nose, it shows good aromatic intensity. Forest fruits, such as currants, raspberries, and strawberries, stand out.
Floral notes of violet and light dairy nuances also appear.
On the palate, it is fresh, flavorful, and luscious. Red fruits and hints of forest fruit yogurt stand out. Furthermore, it offers a broad and persistent finish, with a balanced and distinctly fruity profile.
Three Gold Medals for Señorío de Sarría
The recognition obtained by Viñedo Cinco 2025 adds to the good results of two other references from Señorío de Sarría at MUNDUS VINI.
On the one hand, Señorío de Sarría Rosado 2025 has also won a Gold Medal. This award reinforces the winery's position within the rosé wine category.
On the other hand, Señorío de Sarría Reserva 2019 has won another Gold Medal. This is the sixth award this wine has received so far this year. Therefore, the accolade further solidifies the outstanding track record of this Navarrese reserva.
