BALC 2026 was presented: Bariloche is once again betting on gastronomy and tourism

This morning in Bariloche, the official presentation of BALC 2026 took place, the traditional gastronomic meeting that will bring together chefs, producers and leaders of the sector, with strong participation from different provinces of the country.

The presentation was attended by the mayor of San Carlos de Bariloche, Walter Cortés; the governor of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck; and the event organizer, Lucio Bellora, who highlighted the importance of gastronomy as a fundamental complement to the city's tourism activity.

During the meeting, the authorities focused on continuing to strengthen Bariloche as a year-round tourist destination, taking advantage not only of its natural attractions but also the quality and diversity of its gastronomic offerings.

One of the new features of this edition will be the strong presence of the province of Córdoba, which will arrive in the mountain city with its chefs and different proposals to show part of its identity and gastronomy.

BALC 2026 will once again seek to create a meeting space between the different regions of the country, bringing flavors, products and experiences closer to residents and tourists.

In addition to the culinary aspect, the organizers highlighted the impact these types of events have on the local economy. The arrival of visitors and participants generates activity for hotels, restaurants, shops, and various service providers directly and indirectly linked to tourism.

The proposal thus aims at three central objectives: strengthening participation, generating greater tourist activity, and contributing to the creation of genuine jobs in Bariloche.

With a new edition of BALC, the city is once again preparing to become a meeting point for Argentine gastronomy, bringing together flavors from different provinces in the heart of Patagonia.
