Spring Grove’s 28-acre maze reopens this weekend
When it comes to corn mazes, there’s one spot that stands out as a crowd favorite, and it might be because it’s the largest in the world: Richardson Adventure Farm. It officially opens on Saturday, September 12.
This year’s theme pays tribute to America250, featuring signers of the Declaration of Independence, a Betsy Ross flag, an American Eagle, and more.
“I’m excited for our farm to display a fantastic maze celebrating America250,” said Ryan Richardson, who operates the farm with his wife, Kristen, his father, George, George’s wife, Wendy, George’s brother, Robert, and Robert’s wife, Carol. “It’s a great time to appreciate the country and the freedoms we all share.”
The 28-acre corn maze is a major attraction for the roughly 100,000 visitors who arrive annually. However, that’s not the only reason to visit.
At the farm, you’ll find adorable pig races, giant slides, pedal karts, huge jumping pillows, concession barns, a 50-foot-tall observation tower, a zip line, an antique carouse l, train rides, wagon rides, a small petting zoo, and pumpkins and mums for sale.
There’s also a well-stocked gift barn with modern restrooms, a wine bar, homemade fudge, and freshly baked donuts. Craft beer is available at the Barrel House, along with rentable campfire sites and, when in bloom, a vast field of sunflowers where guests can explore more trails.

The farm will remain open through November 1.
September hours are from 3 to 11 PM on Fridays, 10 AM. to 11 PM. on Saturdays, and noon to 9 PM. on Sundays.
October hours will be from 3 to 9 PM on Thursdays, 10 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 9 PM on Sundays.
