Two Pours and a Stir Make This Cranberry-Coconut Pink Drink

Two Pours and a Stir Make This Cranberry-Coconut Pink Drink

Two pours and a stir. That is a reasonable amount of effort for a pink drink.

This one combines white cranberry-strawberry juice drink with coconutmilk, then goes over ice. No blender. No syrup project.

It is a homemade cranberry-coconut drink, not Starbucks’ Pink Drink recipe. The reason to make it is the short ingredient list, not a promise that the two taste identical.

What goes in the glass

  • 6 fluid ounces (¾ cup) Silk coconutmilk beverage
  • 6 fluid ounces (¾ cup) white cranberry-strawberry juice drink
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh or freeze-dried strawberries, optional

The coconutmilk here is the pourable beverage, not a can of coconut cream. The two main ingredients are the liquids; ice and the optional strawberry topping are separate.

Pour, stir, done

  • Measure the coconutmilk and juice drink.
  • Pour both over ice in a glass with room for the liquids and ice.
  • Stir to combine. Add strawberries if you want them.

Silk’s own cranberry-coconut drink uses this pairing too, but with three parts juice to one part coconutmilk. This version keeps the amounts equal.

The strawberry-packet version

Brittanie Pyper’s version adds one Crystal Light Wild Strawberry On-the-Go packet to 4 fluid ounces (½ cup) of white cranberry-strawberry juice drink and 4 fluid ounces (½ cup) of coconutmilk.

For that variation, add ice to the glass, stir the packet into the juice drink, then pour in the coconutmilk and stir again. Finish with strawberry slices if you want them.

Use the single-serving packet. Crystal Light lists 60 milligrams of caffeine per packet. Leave it out if you don’t want that added caffeine. The two-liquid recipe above is already the whole assignment.

Put the blender back. There is nothing for it to do here.
