Fares, including meals, will range from 19,000 yen ($119) to 36,000 yen per passenger. The train features a luxurious interior and blue exterior inspired by the sea around the Shima area, Kintetsu said.

Train cars feature carpeted floors, leather-upholstered seats with cushions, luggage racks and warm, indirect lighting. Single seats and some two-person seats have wood-grain partitions for privacy. "We hope passengers will enjoy an elegant journey, savoring dishes made with local ingredients in a high-quality interior space," said Yuji Omura, section chief of Kintetsu's technical management department.
