“Where Nel is the creator and the visionary, Noa brings a softer, lighter, and brighter approach. It’s understated luxury with warmth, sunlight, and an effortless sense of calm and confidence,”

The opening will bring the same creativity as Robinson’s restaurant Nel in Surry Hills, but in a more relaxed, all-day setting. The Cronulla venue will also include Little Noa, a terrace designed for casual burgers, cocktails, and walk-in dining.

The pair, who are both Cronulla locals, saw an opportunity to create the kind of restaurant locals would normally have to travel into the city to experience. Robinson will lead the kitchen, while Richards-Robinson brings more than two decades of brand-building experience, including overseeing guest experience, design, marketing, and partnerships.

“We’ve always believed Cronulla deserved a restaurant experience that could sit alongside Sydney’s best while still feeling completely local,” says Richards-Robinson. Guests can begin their dining experience with a Champagne and caviar trolley, build a personalised cheese board in the venue’s dedicated wine room, watch dishes finished tableside, or simply order a steak and wine.

Alternatively, people can settle in for an eight-course chef’s selection, intentionally designed to adapt to the guest. “You might come in for a steak and a glass of wine, or spend the afternoon sharing snacks before finishing with our chef’s menu.

It’s your experience. We simply help shape it,” says Robinson.

An à la carte menu celebrates seasonal produce with highlights including pork and truffle hot dogs with apple; bug toast; rib-eye; whole fish; and Robinson’s signature banoffee trifle. These sit alongside theatrical tableside moments including liquid nitrogen fairy bread and seafood dishes. Little Noa allows locals to walk off the beach for burgers, snacks, cocktails, and all-day dining without a booking.

Breakfast will also launch in October. “If people leave saying, ‘I’ve never dined like that before,’ we’ve done our job,” says Robinson. “But more importantly, I want them to come back the following week.

That’s what great neighbourhood restaurants do.” Richards-Robinson says Noa is the coastal expression of Nel.

“Where Nel is the creator and the visionary, Noa brings a softer, lighter, and brighter approach. It’s understated luxury with warmth, sunlight, and an effortless sense of calm and confidence,” she says.
