Ghost Kakigori: Strawberry Brulee Shaved Ice, Taro Dorayaki And More At NEX

The new kid on the block sits at Basement 1 of the mall, offering a cosy dine-in space for customers to escape the heat and enjoy their kakigori. Choose from six kakigori flavours, including their signature Bean & Matcha ($14.90).

Here, you get sweet red beans topped with a layer of creamy brulee, then blanketed by a mountain of shaved ice. Finally, the dessert is doused in matcha syrup and crowned with more cream and red bean paste.

For something more special, order the Flamed Strawberry Brulee ($14.90), which comes with a creme brulee-like topping that’s torched to order. You also get dried strawberries hidden under the mountain of shaved ice.

Orh nee fans can consider the Snowy Taro ($13.90), packed with taro paste and sago, then drenched in purple sweet potato syrup. Otherwise, try their limited-time-only Shiroi Koibito ($16.90), a festive special that resembles a snow-capped mountain. This dessert stars shaved ice with white chocolate sauce and caramel cereal, finished with a white chocolate cookie.

Besides kakigori, you’ll also find a small range of handmade Dorayaki on the menu. The Seaweed Floss Lava ($4.30) is an interesting combination of savoury floss with a molten salted egg middle. Other popular flavours include Taro ($4.30) and Matcha Red Bean ($4.30).
