Song Gye Ok is a new Korean restaurant at The Centrepoint We all know that Korea has some of the best fried chicken, but grilled chicken is a lesser-known specialty that not many may be aware of. There’s one place to try it in Singapore, and that is Song Gye Ok, which first reached our shores in June 2025.

Song Gye Ok Opens In Orchard With Famous Korean Grilled Chicken

The popular Korean chicken BBQ chain recently opened a second outlet at The Centrepoint in Orchard, where you can also enjoy ginseng chicken broths in collaboration with MODU restaurant. For the uninitiated, Song Gye Ok is a popular restaurant that sees snaking queues in Korea, not just for its delicious offerings, but also for being a favourite of famous actor Song Kang, who rose to fame through the series Nevertheless and Sweet Home.

If it’s your first visit, we recommend the Sgo Signature Platter ($98++), featuring specialty chicken cuts grilled over traditional charcoal right in front of you. Choose from a range of condiments to dip your meat in, including salt, diced garlic, soy sauce, and sriracha mayo.

Other must-tries include Dakgomtang (price TBD), a rich collagen broth topped with roasted chicken, and Kalguksu (price TBD), where Korean hand-cut noodles are submerged in slow-simmered chicken broth. Here’s a tip: wash down the grease with their Earl Grey Highball ($14++), a light and refreshing alcoholic beverage that’s friendly for teetotallers. Since you’re already there, order one of MODU’s ginseng chicken broths to try as well.

Popular flavours include the spicy Hangover Samgyetang ($37++) and nutty Perilla Seed Samgyetang ($38++). Song Gye Ok’s newest outlet catches the eye with its curved, clay-tiled roof, seamlessly weaving traditional elements into a contemporary setting. It’s located at the second level of The Centrepoint, a quick five-minute walk from Somerset MRT Station.
