Czech Fried Cheese

Ingredients · Servings 1
  • 4 flat slices of Edam cheese (about 1 cm thick)
  • 4 thin slices of ham
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • 1 egg
  • 30 g flour
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • 20 g of fat
  • 5 g mustard
  • 1 pickled cucumber
  • parsley
  • 30 g mayonnaise
  • 40 ml of milk
Method · 15 min
  1. Carefully cut the cheese slices down the middle to create a "pocket." Insert the ham and 2 slices of boiled egg.
  2. Roll in flour with egg and breadcrumbs, fry in fat on both sides, not allowing the breading to burn.
  3. For the sauce: mix mayonnaise with warm milk and mustard, add finely chopped cucumber. Pour the sauce over the cheese and garnish with parsley.
