Claudia Arias, Raquel del Castillo and Ángel Rivas, new collaborators in Colombia and Mexico
Antioquian journalist Claudia Arias presents her first contribution to 7Cabíbales today from Medellín, the Colombian city being hailed as the country's gastronomic revelation. A seasoned freelance journalist, she has built her career around specialized journalism: gastronomy, art, and travel.
Two other journalists, Raquel del Castillo and Ángel Rivas, professionals with outstanding careers in gastronomy and beverages, will cover the gastronomic scene in Mexico starting the first week of October.
Raquel del Castillo has been the editor of Menú, the weekly food supplement of the newspaper El Universal, in Mexico City for the past three years. A graduate in communication, she also holds diplomas in oenology and in Cuisine and Culture from the National School of Anthropology and History. She has been the editor of Gourmet México, a columnist for El Sol de México, and a contributor to Milenio.
Ángel Rivas, a journalist with over twenty years of experience writing about gastronomy, specializes in wine and spirits. He is a sommelier and instructor at culinary and wine professionals training institutes in Mexico. He also consults for and contributes to print and digital media, including publications of the Reforma Group. His journalistic work has been recognized by Food & Travel Mexico and Líderes Mexicanos magazines.
