Ingredients · Servings Add 1 teaspoon syrup and 1 tablespoon alcohol and nealco cocktail
- 1 liter of water
- 2 handfuls sage
- 1 piece lemon
- 1 kg caster sugar
- 1 tbsp citric acid
- 15 ml sugar syrup
- 50 ml tequila
- 25 ml lime juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 slice of lime
- 2 pcs strawberries
- 20 ml sugar syrup
- 20 ml lemon juice
- 1 sprig sage
Method · 20 min
- Put the sage and lemon slices in a pot of boiled water and let it steep for 24 hours, covered with a lid. Strain through a cheesecloth and squeeze. Sprinkle with sugar and citric acid and let it dissolve.
- Pour ice into the blender, add tequila syrup, lime juice, add a pinch of salt and blend everything. Serve garnished with a lime slice or lime zest. SOMETHING EXTRA “If you don’t have a blender, simply put all the ingredients in a shaker or mason jar, add ice, close the lid and shake,” advises bartender Josef Kolena.
- Cut the strawberries, pour into a glass and mash. Add the syrup, ice and top up with soda. Garnish with a strawberry and a sprig of sage. SOMETHING EXTRA You can easily vary the non-alcoholic version - add tonic instead of soda, for the alcoholic version you can also reach for bubbles - cava prosecco or other sparkling wine will taste great.
