Mercedes Domecq's perfect black dress, with strategic gathers and a delicate drape, at the most anticipated dinner for the European aristocracy

The Recal Foundation celebrated one of its most special and moving evenings, bringing together European aristocracy for its 25th anniversary charity dinner. This institution, created in 2001 by Maximilian of Habsburg, stems from a profound story of personal triumph.

The middle of the three daughters of winemaker Huberto Domecq Ybarra and María Jesús Fernández Govantes was one of the most elegant guests of the evening, opting for the infallible color black with a design distinguished not by its embellishments or fabric, but by the carefully considered details that make this silhouette the most flattering. Mercedes Domecq demonstrated that restraint and a good cut are the best stylistic weapons, choosing an elegant dress that masterfully played with proportions.

The design, featuring a round neck and subtly puffed short sleeves with contrasting beige side panels, showcased a fitted bodice enhanced with strategic ruching, a detail that hugs and slims the abdomen. From the hip, the garment flowed into a smooth skirt with a pleated hem, lending a light, airy feel to the silhouette. This combination of elements has led stylish women worldwide, from Queen Letizia to Victoria Beckham, to embrace this dress.

To elevate this dark canvas, the aristocrat and communications expert relied on the illuminating power of accessories: a long gold necklace from which multiple amulets and medals hung broke the monochrome and added personality to the neckline; a thin gold bracelet on her right wrist, a discreet black envelope clutch and matching strappy heeled sandals completed the ensemble.

On a night marked by philanthropy and remembrance, her choice reflected a serene and understated elegance, and was the absolute confirmation that a good black dress, adorned with the right jewelry, will always be the best ally for the season's big events.
