Ikoyi and Hide and Fox among restaurants awarded four AA rosettes
The AA has awarded new rosettes to 21 UK restaurants
“a truly outstanding gastronomic experience… that rank among the very best in the UK”
Jeremy Chan’s Ikoyi in London and Allister Barsby’s Hide and Fox in Kent were among six restaurants to have been awarded four AA rosettes at the 2026 AA Hospitality Awards.
All six restaurants were upgraded to the higher rating, which recognises venues offering “a truly outstanding gastronomic experience… that rank among the very best in the UK”.
Ikoyi was launched by childhood friends Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale in London’s St James’s Market in 2017 before moving to its Strand location in December 2022.
Hide and Fox was opened by former Acorn Barsby and Alice Bussi in 2019 and marked their first restaurant launch after the pair worked together at the Seren Collection in Pembrokeshire. The team also won a Catey this year.
Other four-AA-rosette recipients included Frog by Adam Handling in London, Inver in Strathlachlan, Argyll and Bute, LI~LY by Aiden Byrne in Knutsford, Cheshire, and the Cocochine, London from chef Larry Jayasekara.
Fifteen restaurants were awarded three AA rosettes, given to those showing “outstanding culinary excellence”, and included Anglothai in London, Kynd at Hampton Manor in Solihull, West Midlands, and Lofft in Cardiff.
This year’s crop of rosette winners also celebrated 70 years of AA rosettes at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
There were no new restaurants awarded the maximum five rosettes this year.
Simon Numphud, managing director of AA Hotel & Hospitality Services, said: “The AA Hospitality Awards exist to recognise the passion, dedication and high standards that go into delivering exceptional hospitality, and this year’s winners are a wonderful example of that. These awards recognise incredible people in our industry who care deeply about what they do to give their guests the very best experience.”
