Festivino Oost: free wine walk and music in Oostpoort
The Oostpoort shopping area in Amsterdam East will be all about wine and music on Saturday, September 19.
Between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, a route runs past five wine points spread throughout the shopping area. At each point, a participating hospitality entrepreneur takes center stage with their own wine. Visitors not only taste the wines but also learn more about their origin, grape variety, and wine region, as well as where the wine is for sale in Oostpoort. Participants can pick up a route map at the registration desk on Oranje-Vrijstaatplein starting at 2:00 PM and then visit the wine points at their own pace.
Music on the quay
The center of Festivino Oost is located on the restaurant quay, at Bagels & Beans. Under a stretch tent by the water, there will be a music square with a stage, where Q-Factory will provide the musical program. The line-up consists of a mix of jazz, blues, pop, rock, Caribbean sounds, and electronic music, featuring Mireille Buldeo & Robert Boerwinkel, 3 Lemons, Nereo, and Gaya Carmeli, among others. Visitors can come here for the performances during and after the wine walk.
Participation in Festivino Oost is free, but advance registration is mandatory. Because alcohol is served, a minimum age of 18 applies; identification may be requested. At the wine points, tasting portions are served, not full glasses.
