A great hotelier and a starred chef join forces in the Marche region

A small revolution has been announced in the Marche region's hospitality and gastronomy: two highly prominent names have joined forces in a synergy that promises great things.

The transaction marks the entry of the renowned Andreina restaurant into the group's collection of boutique hotels through what the partners describe as a corporate integration: a union that, according to Guidi and Recanati, is "a strategic step that unites hospitality and haute cuisine in a shared project to promote the local excellence on a large scale."

The shared vision of Andreina and The Begin Hotels

This initiative is not the result of a sudden decision, but, as explained by the protagonists, "it arises from a shared vision that has matured over time and is fueled by a collaboration already tested through exclusive events hosted at the group's hotels."

Guido Guidi expressed great satisfaction with the project's realization, emphasizing both the professional and emotional value of the venture: "This partnership is the result of a shared vision. Combining Errico's Michelin-starred expertise with ours means elevating tourism and the Marche region's restaurant scene to a higher level, creating experiences that capture the true essence of Italy. I was passionate about bringing this project to fruition also because of the deep bond I have with this historic restaurant, which for me represents home, family, and tradition."

From the same perspective, Chef Errico Recanati sees this partnership as an opportunity for growth and a new evolutionary phase for his gastronomic journey, focused on the valorization of embers and wood: "For me, this alliance represents the beginning of a new story. Guido and I share profound values: a sense of experience, respect for our roots, and the desire to engage with the outside world without losing our own identity."

Despite the change in corporate structure, the restaurant's culinary identity will remain faithful to the fire-and-grill cuisine that has earned it a Michelin star since 2013. The historic Loreto location is officially scheduled to reopen on April 2nd, and in addition to the classic tasting menus called Fuoco e Fiamme (Fire and Flames), starting in May, Fuoco del Giovedì (Thursday Fire) will be introduced. This weekly event will feature themed menus paired with wines from the Marche region, aiming to make the Michelin-starred experience more accessible while also showcasing small-scale producers and local wineries.

While the group's fine dining brand, as expected, will not be affected, it's interesting to consider how this synergy could be leveraged gastronomically across the group's other businesses. Currently, the group operates eight hotels, including six restaurants and bistros in the Ancona and Portonovo locations, and in Trieste and the Salento area outside the Marche region. This presents a prime opportunity to expand the two new partners' Michelin-starred ambitions, the full extent of which we'll surely discover shortly.
