Portland Pie Company in Westbrook, Maine, to Close Permanently

For more than the last decade and a half, there have been a handful of constants when it comes to restaurants and bars along Main Street in Westbrook, Maine.

One of those constants has been Portland Pie Company, which opened their full-service pizzeria and pub at 869 Main Street more than 15 years ago.

For much of that time, Portland Pie has been one of most popular restaurants in the city. But over the past couple of years, the Westbrook location has struggled some with wait times and consistency.

Which may explain, in part, why the location is set to close permanently.

Westbrook, Maine, Portland Pie Company Lets Lease Expire

If you've visited the Portland Pie Company in Westbrook, Maine, recently, it doesn't seem like much has changed.

That seems to be the plan until the restaurant's lease officially expires. One thing is certain, Portland Pie will be moving out of their longtime spot at 869 Main Street permanently.

Portland Pie Company took to social media to announce their final day of operation in Westbrook will be Friday, September 25.

Portland Pie also stated they hoped to return to Westbrook and the community sometime in the future if an opportunity presents itself.

Sumo Sushi & Grill Will Move Into The Portland Pie Space in Westbrook, Maine

One thing that is certain is another Westbrook, Maine, business will be taking over the vacated space at 869 Main Street.

According to MaineBiz, Sumo Sushi & Grill has leased the Portland Pie space with the intention to move their current restaurant at 57 Bridge Street to their new location.
