The 2026 edition of Ensenada Se Viste de Vino will benefit the Red Cross
Next Sunday, September 27th, Ensenada Se Viste de Vino 2026 will take place in Plaza Santo Tomás. The family-friendly event will primarily benefit the Mexican Red Cross.
With the participation of around 15 wineries, including producers from the municipality of San Quintín, as well as restaurants, Ensenada Se Viste de Vino 2026 will take place next Sunday, September 27th, a family event whose main cause will be to support the Mexican Red Cross.
The wine festival will take place from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Plaza Santo Tomás, where attendees can enjoy tastings, food, and cultural activities. The entrance donation is 250 pesos and includes a commemorative wine glass.
The president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC), Luis Carlos Novelo Salas, reported that approximately 500 people are expected to attend, who will be able to enjoy the participation of eight restaurants, tastings and a gastronomic proposal aimed at audiences of all ages.
As part of the cultural and gastronomic program, a sardine demonstration by chef Diego Hernández is planned, in addition to cooking demonstrations, children's activities and tastings offered by the participating restaurants.
César Mancillas Amador, president of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Red Cross in Ensenada, noted that so far this year the institution has provided more than 9,000 services related to accidents in the municipality.
He gave the example that the maintenance of just one ambulance costs a little over one million pesos, and they currently have eight ambulances. In total, this amounts to around 10 million pesos.
He explained that the funds raised during the event will be used exclusively to strengthen the Red Cross's capacity to provide care and to expand its presence to areas such as Valle de Guadalupe and Maneadero, with the goal of broadening the coverage of emergency services.
Also participating in the event presentation were Marco Estudillo Bernal, president of Entrepreneurs of the Guadalupe Valley; Jorge Fuentes, secretary of the Baja California Wine Committee; and Miguel Ángel Badiola Montaño, Baja California Secretary of Tourism.
Badiola Montaño highlighted the benefits of the Baja California wine industry and the importance of wine-related activities transcending vineyards and reaching other spaces where they can generate social benefits.
Ensenada Se Viste de Vino 2026 seeks to combine the promotion of gastronomy and wine culture with a social cause, through a day of family gatherings and tasting in downtown Ensenada.
