The Arte-Noon Tea at Atelier 23 Blends Afternoon Tea with Art

Afternoon tea has long been associated with leisurely afternoons and delicate pastries, but Atelier 23 at Park Hyatt Jakarta is giving the tradition a more creative interpretation.

Available daily on level 23, The Arte-Noon Tea takes inspiration from the atmosphere of an artist’s atelier – a place where ideas are explored, craftsmanship is celebrated, and imagination is encouraged. Rather than simply serving a tiered stand of sweet and savoury bites, Atelier 23 approaches afternoon tea as a cultural experience, bringing together culinary technique, artistic expression, and a subtle sense of play.

The menu reflects that philosophy through a collection of carefully composed dishes. The savoury selection includes creations such as Beetroot Basket with roasted beetroot and stracciatella, Tuna Tartare with avocado and roe, and a Foie Gras Parfait Tartlet finished with grape chutney and verjus gel. A warm course of Beef Cheek Bourguignon en Croûte, wrapped in flaky pastry with truffle and red wine sauce, adds depth before the experience turns towards dessert.

On the sweeter side, pastries draw inspiration from both regional and international flavours. Highlights include Mandarin Calamansi with Sulawesi vanilla rice pudding and matcha sponge, Chocolate Dome paired with Andaliman pepper, Thai Tea Pot de Crème, and Raspberry Clafoutis Tart, complemented by a seasonal selection of cakes and pastries served tableside. A signature Matcha Ube on Ice completes the experience, offering a refreshing pairing that echoes the menu’s balance of familiar ingredients and contemporary presentation.

What distinguishes The Arte-Noon Tea, however, is the optional Paint Your Monas activity. Guests are invited to create their own interpretation of Jakarta’s National Monument while enjoying the afternoon tea, transforming the experience from a conventional dining occasion into something more personal and interactive. The addition reflects Atelier 23’s broader identity as a venue where food, culture, and creativity naturally intersect.

Located within Park Hyatt Jakarta, Atelier 23 already blends Southeast Asian influences with French-inspired pâtisserie across its Living Room, Patisserie, and Veranda spaces. The Arte-Noon Tea builds on that identity, offering an experience that feels as much about slowing down and creating as it does about eating.

For those looking beyond the city’s usual afternoon tea offerings, The Arte-Noon Tea presents a thoughtful alternative – one where every course, every brushstroke, and every conversation becomes part of the afternoon itself.
