Arbikie to host whisky festival on Angus coast

Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery will bring more than 10 distilleries to Angus at the start of June for a new whisky festival.

‘A Dram Good Whisky Festival’ will take place at the Arbikie Estate on Saturday 6 June offering tastings, guided tours, talks from whisky makers and a programme of masterclasses.

Confirmed exhibitors include Bladnoch Distillery, Glencadam Distillery, InchDairnie Distillery, Kingsbarns Distillery and Nc’nean Distillery. Bivrost, based in Arctic Norway and billed as the world’s northernmost distillery, will also take part, as well as emerging producers and independent whisky makers.

Iain Stirling, Co-Founder of Arbikie Distillery, said, “This is about bringing people together through whisky. We wanted to create something that reflects the character of Arbikie – rooted in history, but always looking forward. The festival is an opportunity for people to discover new distilleries, meet the makers and experience the estate in a completely different way.

“Whisky tourism continues to play an increasingly important role in Scotland’s food and drink story, and we’re proud to be hosting an event that brings people to Angus while showcasing the diversity and creativity happening across the industry today.”
