This hidden Toronto tea room lets you sip a hotpot latte surrounded by shelves of books
We’ve been all about dreamy bookstores of late, but combine one with a delicious spot of tea and we’re in heaven.
Step inside and you’ll find shelves of books paired with an experimental menu of tea, matcha and coffee creations, including a flight of drinks inspired by cities and regions around the world.
The City Tea Flight features three tasting-sized drinks with seriously creative flavour combos: Beijing Pear Jasmine, Nantou Rice & Lime Bergamot and Chengdu Hotpot Latte (you guessed it, a hotpot-inspired latte).
The pop-up has also introduced tasting-style coffee creations designed to let guests experience the same coffee in different ways, starting with the shot itself before trying it again with water, tea or as a latte. Or opt for one of ICHA TEA’s specialty matcha creations, like the Banana Matcha or Matcha Cloud Latte.
Unfortunately, the pop-up is only here until September, so there’s a limited time to settle in among the books and take your taste buds on a mini trip.
The Tea Room by ICHA TEA pop-up is located at 8 Eastern Ave. You can also check out ICHA TEA’s other Toronto locations at 235 Spadina Ave., 996 Queen St. W. or 2 Sheppard Ave. E. in North York.
