Steakholder Foods Starts U.S. Retail Sales With Five-Product Perfecta Range

The launch represents the first time Perfecta products have been commercially available on US store shelves. Steakholder has not disclosed the participating retailers, individual locations or pricing.

Five products are included in the initial assortment: plant-based marbled steak, filet mignon, chicken breast, salmon patties and white fish patties.

From planned rollout to retail shelves

The company initially disclosed plans to introduce Perfecta in the second half of 2026, beginning in the Northeast.

In July, Steakholder confirmed that KeHE Distributors would handle distribution, providing access to the distributor’s network of natural, specialty and grocery retailers. Perfecta uses Steakholder’s food production technology to create structured plant-based products with fibrous textures and, in its steak products, marbling-like characteristics.

Additional US regions to follow

The company previously said the Northeastern launch would be followed by expansion into additional US regions as production and distribution capacity increased.

Its September announcement similarly states that further retail and distribution expansion is planned, without providing a timetable or naming additional partners. Arik Kaufman, CEO of Steakholder Foods, stated, “Our launch in the Northeastern United States represents an exciting step forward as Perfecta begins reaching consumers through retail shelves for the first time.

“We believe the plant-based category is ready for a new generation of products that deliver on taste and eating experience without compromise. We are on track with our launch, and the Northeast is just the beginning of our commercial journey, and we intend to expand both our retail footprint and our distribution network as consumer demand grows.”
