The Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich Hack That Forgoes The Bun

Unlike other fast food chains that specialize in hamburgers or fried chicken, Arby's branding revolves around roast beef sandwiches, which makes it unique among the competition. On top of buns piled high with thinly sliced beef, the chain as well serves ham and turkey sandwiches, as well as chicken sandwiches. Some favorite sides, like its curly fries and jalapeño bites, along with signature sauces like its tangy red Arby's sauce and its sinus-clearing horsey sauce made with horseradish. The only setback with the menu is that most of its most popular items are on bread, and not everyone may be into that.

But an Instagram user has hacked the menu to create a pretty crave-worthy meal that calls for curly fries in place of a bun. They essentially create a sort of roast beef take on disco fries, poutine's New Jersey relative. If beef isn't your thing, you can substitute it with the chain's thinly sliced turkey or ham.

Or for an avalanche of meat that you don't have to tear up into little pieces, opt for a half-pound cheese steak without the bun. Smother your curly fries in the mix of shaved beef, caramelized onions, and melted cheese. And if you find curly fries' shapes to be a little too unwieldy or too boldly seasoned for your Arby's bowl hack, opt for the chain's crinkle-cut fries instead. But that's not all you can do at this beefy fast food restaurant when you scrap the bun.

Arby's menu lets you make all sorts of bunless meals that are as unique as your tastebuds It's amazing to see how creative you can get at Arby's when you cancel the bread from your order. Pretty much any entree can go on a bed of fries to create something that feels more like a sit-down meal than a rushed meal in your car. Many Greek restaurants like to add fries to their gyros, which can make it messier to eat when all those components are stuffed into a pita.

Arby's actually serves gyros with all the traditional fixings, and ordering it without the pita. Adding it to an order of crinkle fries gives you a forkable Greek street food experience without tzatziki spilling onto your shirt. If you like to have breakfast any time of day, you can create a bowl that gives you all those flavors of your favorite morning meal by ordering a bunless ham & Swiss sandwich with bacon and cheese sauce and dumping it onto an order of potato cakes, which resemble hash browns.

You can in addition create a miniature Olive Garden-inspired Tour of Italy by starting with a bowl of white cheddar mac 'n cheese and adding a side of mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce. Now, to create a fast-food riff on chicken marsala, order some chicken tenders and douse them in the chain's au jus from its French dip sandwich.
