Get Gao Kopi Brewed With Fresh Espresso at This Makansutra-Approved Stall

I love a good cup of old-school Nanyang kopi, especially when it’s extra gao with a rich, full-bodied aroma. So when I heard of Kopi More, a popular coffee stall at Golden Mile Food Centre that serves up espresso-based kopi, my curiosity was instantly piqued.

While doomscrolling, I came across this viral Makansutra Instagram Reel featuring the stall. At the time of writing, the video had already racked up nearly 200K views.

Similar to Generation Coffee, which has outlets including Bendemeer Market, Tekka Market, and Tanjong Pagar Plaza, this stall offers traditional coffee made with freshly brewed espresso. The result is a strong cup of kopi blanketed with a gorgeous crema—a golden layer that rests atop well-extracted espresso.

This layer enhances the flavours of the coffee, adding a velvety-smooth finish. As the drinks are made with espresso rather than the usual coffee sock, Kopi More’s prices are slightly higher than most other food centre stalls.

A cup of hot coffee costs $2.50, while the iced version is $2.80. Their Yin Yang—a blend of coffee and tea—has also received raving reviews, priced at $3.20 for hot and $3.50 for cold.

Kopi More is a one-man show, so there’s often a queue, especially during peak hours. It’s best to visit in the morning, before the lunch crowd starts to build at 11:30am.
