Sweet focaccia with white grapes, a harvest snack

During grape harvest time, there's no better snack than a sweet grape focaccia, a soft and fluffy treat that's sure to please both adults and children. Ours is made with white grapes (seeded), smells of vanilla, and is coated in cane sugar.

Ingredients · Servings 8
  • 300g white grapes
  • 280g Flour
  • 120g Milk
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 40g Soft butter
  • 6g Fresh brewer's yeast
  • 3 pieces of egg yolks
  • Sale
  • Vanilla
Method · 3 h
  1. Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast and sugar in it.
  2. Mix the flour with the milk, then add the egg yolks, one at a time, then 40 g of soft butter, a pinch of salt, and the seeds scraped from half a vanilla pod.
  3. Place the dough in a bowl, seal it with cling film and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut the grapes in half and carefully remove the seeds.
  5. Butter and flour a cake tin (diameter 27 cm, height 5 cm).
  6. Roll out the dough, place it in the pan, cover the entire surface with the grape halves, sprinkle with brown sugar and let the sweet focaccia rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes, covered with a damp cloth.
  7. Bake the focaccia at 200°C for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven, let it cool, then unmold it and serve in slices.
