Mediterranean in a bottle
What are the colors, scents, and flavors of the Mediterranean? There's the blue of the sky and sea, the subtle lingering of aromatic herbs and scrubland, the flavor of traditional recipes, prepared with local, seasonal ingredients, which the sun and the wisdom of the chef transform into lasting memories.
The secret of success
Gin Mare is an ultra-premium gin made from the individual maceration and distillation of the highest-quality raw materials using traditional techniques. Among the botanicals used is the Arbequina olive, with acidity levels that vary from year to year, making each distillation a uniquely aromatic work of art. Other key ingredients include basil, rosemary, and thyme, sourced from Greece, Italy, Spain, and France, which contribute to Gin Mare's unique and distinctive flavor. These botanicals, essential to Mediterranean gastronomy, undergo a meticulous maceration process, with the citrus botanicals resting for 40 days and the others for 12 hours. The master distiller then selects the finest batches, expertly blends them, and carefully tests them to bring only the finest to the iconic bottle. This meticulous artisanal process guarantees the high quality standard of Gin Mare, earning it the prestigious title of “Colección de Autor”, and represents the constant commitment to artisanal perfection.
Mediterranean spirit
But the eye also wants its share, and here it is: Gin Mare is produced in Vilanova, a picturesque fishing village between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada, not far from Barcelona. The distillery is housed in an 18th-century chapel that perfectly expresses the dedication to Mediterranean culture and invites visitors to fully immerse themselves in its lifestyle, the "Med Attitude" embraced by Gin Mare, which embodies the values of connection, respect for nature, fine cuisine, and hospitality. Values that can also be experienced at home, during one of the most Mediterranean celebrations around.
A toast to Easter
"Christmas with your family, Easter with whoever you want" goes a famous adage that, thanks in part to the warmer weather just around the corner, invites you to celebrate Easter with friends, all together, around a large, carefully set table, perhaps outdoors. Small touches of creativity will make the day even more memorable: place cards made by the hostess, a beautiful centerpiece with flowers and aromatic herbs, a few traditional recipes, symbols of the holiday, but paired in an innovative way—why not?—with Gin Mare, which demonstrates its great versatility when paired with food.
We propose two Easter dishes with a wow factor, paired with Gin Mare's Triple Orange cocktail, whose vibrant citrus notes are perfect for both sweet and savory dishes. It adds a touch of elegance and freshness to casatiello, lightening the cheese and cured meat filling; while with pastiera, it's a marriage of love and balance, with the orange notes echoing in the dish and in the glass.
