A mushroom stop on the Grand Tour of the Marche!
September 26th and 27th will be dedicated to the forest, mycology, biodiversity, and local cuisine. Guest of honor: Adriana Volpe.
Cagli is preparing to host a new stop on the Grand Tour of the Marche Region with Cagli Tutto Fungo 2026, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th in Piazza Matteotti. Two days designed to showcase the natural heritage of the Marche Apennines through forest culture, mycology, wild herbs, local gastronomy, and environmental education.
The event offers a journey through ancient knowledge and contemporary sensibilities, aiming to highlight a key resource of the region: the mushroom, a staple of the table but also a central element of natural balance. In a program that intertwines knowledge, flavor, and awareness, "Cagli Tutto Fungo" brings together experts, chefs, mycologists, institutions, families, and enthusiasts.
The heart of the event will be the "Mushroom Market and its associated offerings," open from Saturday morning, featuring displays of fresh mushrooms, forest produce, crafts, tastings, a mycological exhibition, and information points dedicated to responsible harvesting. The opening ceremony will be at 9:45 a.m., with the opening of the exhibition, a workshop on wild herbs, and a cooking demonstration by Chef Antonio Bedini, who will offer recipes featuring mushrooms and local products, explaining cleaning and cooking techniques, and showcasing the forest's culinary value.
At 3:30 pm, the focus will shift to younger audiences with "GAME SQUARE: Bio Network – Mission to Mycelium," and at 5:00 pm, there will be a conference exploring the Marche Region's new regulations regarding mushroom picking. Guest of honor will be Adriana Volpe, a well-known figure on Italian television, who has long been committed to cultural dissemination and the promotion of local regions, traditions, and communities. The day will conclude at 7:00 pm with a dinner hosted by AMAP, featuring a menu featuring mushrooms and local products.
Sunday, September 27th, will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a mushroom hunt led by expert mycologists. Upon return, Fabrizio Lucerna will be in charge of identifying the mushrooms collected. At 12:30 p.m., the cooking show with chef Antonio Bedini will return, while at 4:30 p.m., the little ones will be the protagonists of "Mani in Pasta," an experiential educational cooking workshop featuring sensory activities, dough making, and local ingredients.
A special event at 11:00 a.m. at the Teatro Comunale. Hosted by Silvestro Serra, Magazine and Media Director of the Touring Club Italiano, the Marche Regional Council, together with the Municipality of Cagli, which also boasts the Orange Flag, presents "The Marche of Unexpected Identities, Between the Coast and the Apennines," a comparison of the industrious and often little-known communities that animate the region and contribute daily to the economic, social, and cultural growth of the Marche.
A social journey through music, cuisine, and entertainment that also involves five former MasterChef Italia contestants, waiting to reveal the famous pop icon who will sing the new song and become the new face of the brand.
The event dedicated to Modena Balsamic Vinegar PGI and Modena Traditional Balsamic Vinegar PDO returns on Sunday, September 27th. 43 vinegar producers and local businesses will be involved, offering tours, tastings, and experiences among vineyards, barrels, and tradition.
From September 24th to 27th, Foligno hosts the 27th edition of the national festival dedicated to pasta and Italian first courses. Over 70 events, 15 locations, and the historic taverns of the Quintana transformed into Villages of Taste for a journey through recipes, products, and regional traditions.
On September 19th and 20th, Gorgonzola, just outside Milan, hosts the National Gorgonzola Festival. Behind the distinctive blue-green veining of the DOP cheese lies a delicate balance of lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and selected molds, also the result of microbiological research.
Volterragusto returns with the 28th White Truffle and Typical Products of the Upper Valdicecina Market Exhibition: October 24-25 and October 31-November 1, 2026. Tastings, show cooking, truffle hunting, and the Jarro Award through the streets of the Etruscan city.
From October 9th to 11th, "Magici Intrecci Autunnali" returns: fine craftsmanship, green culture, and small-scale agricultural production in a charming private manor, inhabited and cared for by the same family who built it over a thousand years ago.
