Michelin Keys: Discover the new addresses in the France 2026 selection

September 21 | According to the GHR (Groupement Hospitalier de la Région), the restaurant sector is losing €1.22 billion due to the expansion of meal voucher use to include all food products. Between 2022 and 2026, the share of meal voucher spending in the restaurant industry fell from 46.5% to 34.3%. Unless new legislation is passed, the exemption limiting vouchers to food products will end on December 31, 2026.

September 19 | More than ten years after the scandal of fake 'beef' lasagne, the Foodwatch association reveals a new large-scale horsemeat trafficking operation affecting four countries (Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, and France). More than 1,000 horses, unfit for consumption, are believed to have entered the food chain.

18.09 | Three new professional programs will be offered at the Ducasse School in 2027, all three dedicated to plant-based products: 'Essentials of naturality' (taught in English), 'Vegan pastry essentials' (taught in English) and 'Les essentiel de la pâtisserie végane' (in French).

September 18 | The Michelin Guide has just announced its first selection covering the entire state of Colorado (USA). The Mexican restaurant Milpero has earned its first star. The state of Colorado, located in the central part of the country, now boasts one two-star restaurant and nine one-star restaurants, for a total of 40 recommended establishments.

September 17 | Chef Mingoo Kang, head chef of the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Mingles (Seoul, South Korea), opened Seok this Thursday, September 17, in Paris, at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme (1st arrondissement). There, he will be showcasing sophisticated Korean cuisine. The interior design is by Hugo Toro, who also designed the Pur' restaurant for chef Jean-François Rouquette.

September 17 | After closing his Michelin-starred restaurant, Louis (Paris, 9th arrondissement), at the end of 2025, chef Stéphane Pitré is making a comeback. He is taking over as head chef of Le Schiap restaurant, located within the Hôtel de Berri (Paris, 8th arrondissement). The menu is priced at €36 (two courses) and €42 (three courses); an à la carte menu with lower prices is also available.
