Recco, dining with “Women of Wine” to discover Liguria's culinary delights

An evening dedicated to wine, cuisine, and the excellence of the Ligurian region will take place on Monday, September 28th at the Da Ö Vittorio restaurant in Recco, located at Via Roma 160.

Founded in 1988, the association now brings together over a thousand members working in various sectors of the winemaking industry, from vineyards to wineries, from restaurants to communications. "Women of Wine" has a delegation in every Italian region. In Liguria, there are approximately thirty members, and the regional delegate is Cinzia Mattioli.

Among the association's Ligurian protagonists are two professionals from Recco: Paola Bisso, restaurateur and sommelier at the Da Ö Vittorio restaurant, and Daniela Crosignani Bernini, communicator and press officer for Dimensione Riviera and the Consorzio della Focaccia di Recco.

The evenings organized by the Ligurian delegation aim to renew the relationship between wine and cuisine, bringing gastronomic interpretations to restaurants that showcase local ingredients. In Recco, the Colli di Luni wine will also take center stage, represented by Laura Angelini of the "La Pietra del Focolare" winery.

Angelini will guide guests through the story of his production, his thirteen "plots of land," and a winery once known as the "Colonel's Cellar." A journey through vineyards and landscapes where the yellow of the sun, the red of the soil, and the blue of the sea characterize a territory deeply rooted in its identity.

The evening will also be enriched by the speeches and stories of Alberto Badaracco of the Frantoio Badaracco in Recco, Daniela Bernini and Paolo Castellan of Camogli Pesca, together with Laura Angelini.

The menu will begin with a small entrée of cod fritters with basil mayonnaise, followed by Recco Focaccia with PGI cheese, paired with Vermentino Superiore Solarancio Colli di Luni DOP. Next up is Camogli bonito tartare with crunchy vegetables, accompanied by a guided tasting of freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil made from Pignola di Recco olives.

This will be followed by green tagliolini with mountain butter and fresh Camogli anchovies flavored with Taggiasco Gin, baby squid stuffed with smoked celeriac cream and crispy black pepper puff pastry, and, to finish, Torta Recchese with zabaglione, coffee, and chocolate.

The pairings will also include Campo alle Rose Liguria di Levante IGT, Rosso Saltamasso Colli di Luni DOP and the Passito bianco 1.618 Liguria di Levante IGT.

Dinner will be priced at €70. For information and reservations, please contact Ristorante Da Ö Vittorio at +39 0185 74029.
