The Vinobraní na Grébovce 2026 wine harvest festival combines wine tradition and sustainability
The popular Prague Autumn Festival takes place on Friday at náměstí Míru and on Saturday in Havlíčkovy sady.
The traditional wine harvest festival Vinobraní na Grébovce transforms Prague 2 into a meeting place for wine lovers, music fans and families this weekend.
The Prague Wine Harvest Festival, Vinobraní na Grébovce, is taking place this weekend in Prague 2. Besides wine, gastronomy and music, this year's focus is particularly on environmental protection and sustainability.
The festival begins on Friday, September 18th, at náměstí Míru. The main program follows on Saturday, September 19th, in Havlíčkovy sady.
“The wine harvest festival on Grébovka has a long tradition in Prague 2 and attracts thousands of visitors every year. I cordially invite everyone to enjoy the special atmosphere, taste high-quality wines and spend a pleasant time in our beautiful park,” declared the Mayor of Prague 2, Jan Korseska.
The program includes performances by well-known artists as well as a wide selection of wines and culinary specialties. A supporting program for the whole family complements the offerings. The festival also aims to commemorate the long winegrowing tradition of the Vinohrady district.
This year, a special focus is placed on ensuring the event is as environmentally friendly as possible. Information sessions on ecological topics, proper waste separation, and more sustainable urban living are planned. Waste will be consistently separated throughout the event. Furthermore, reusable cups and environmentally friendly materials will be used for food and beverage sales.
The organizers also aim to reduce resource consumption in the technical aspects of the project. To achieve this, they will use energy-saving technologies and fewer power generators.
“Large cultural events should not only be attractive, but also act responsibly towards their surroundings,” said Jan Recman, Deputy Mayor of Prague 2.
