Food & Wine Agenda from September 17th to 20th

September continues to give us reasons to sit down at the table: pairing dinners, seasonal brunches, chef collaborations, anniversary celebrations and experiences to discover the world of beer.

We're sharing a selection of gastronomic events to enjoy on the weekend and, while you're at it, discover new culinary options in the city and its surroundings.

A wine cellar to share

La Docena opens the doors to its new space, La Cava de La Docena, a place that brings together wines, quality products, and unpretentious cuisine. Inspired by flavors and dishes from different corners of the world, its concept invites you to arrive without haste, choose a bottle, order several dishes to share, and let the after-dinner conversation do its work. A new address to enjoy wine and good food in good company.

  • When: from now until October 10.
  • Where: La Docena | Álvaro Obregón 23, Roma, CDMX.

Catalonia at the table

This September 18th, Gaudir presents a four-course dinner where signature Catalan cuisine meets a selection of wines from Importaciones Cantabria. The menu includes M. Sureda anchovies from L'Escala, tomato salad, arròs de cap i pota (a traditional Catalan rice dish), and crema catalana in a profiterole.

  • When: September 18.

Learn to make beer

The Beer Brewing Workshop is back, a hands-on experience to learn the basics of craft beer production. In this edition, participants will brew a Smash IPA and, once it's ready, can take home four 355ml bottles. An activity to introduce you to the world of beer in a fun and educational way.

  • When: September 19, 09:00 to 15:00 hrs.
  • Where: Guau Tap | Guillermo Prieto 45, San Rafael, CDMX.

Brunch in Espita

Casona de los Cedros, in Espita, Yucatán, celebrates the third edition of Taste of Espita, a brunch showcasing regional products and seasonal ingredients. Chefs Jorge Ildefonso and Yesenia Marín will cook alongside Regina Escalante of Merci and Bocú, Mérida, creating a menu that features local citrus fruits, octopus from San Felipe, plantains, and eggs with bacon, among other Yucatecan flavors. The experience includes brunch, two non-alcoholic beverages, a day pass, and access to the pool until 4:00 p.m.
