Mayfair hotel the Twenty Two debuts new restaurant
The luxury boutique hotel in London’s Mayfair has repositioned and relaunched its in-house restaurant, Café 22.
Mayfair’s Twenty Two hotel and member’s club has launched a new 92-cover neighbourhood style restaurant entitled Café 22, which takes inspiration from Parisian dining.
The 42,500 sq ft Grade II-listed hotel’s reopened restaurant replaces its previous F&B offering a "buzzier, neighbourhood café style, echoing the spirit of Parisian inspired dining".
The launch of Café 22, which has also undergone a refurbishment and added a streetside entrance, is being overseen by Guillaume Glipa, previously of Chiltern Firehouse, Louie London and Annabel’s.
The menu, overseen by Twenty Two’s global culinary director Alan Christie, will serve French classics across its mains and desserts including canard à l’orange, foie gras terrine, apple tarte tatin and brown butter madeleines.
The restaurant will also introduce a roaming martini trolley, new cocktail menu and a weekend brunch serving dishes including croque monsieur and madame, warm lobster roll & French fries and wagyu cote de boeuf with Café de Paris butter.
The Twenty Two hotel was founded in 2022 by hospitality entrepreneur and tech investor Navid Mirtorabi. The 31-bedroom hotel also includes a private member’s club.
