Chefs on Fire 2026 brings fire cooking and music to Cascais

Chefs on Fire 2026 brings fire cooking and music to Cascais

More than 40 chefs, 24 Repsol Suns and 13 Michelin stars are part of the Chefs on Fire 2026 lineup, in an edition that expands the presence of Portuguese and international gastronomy and reinforces the musical and cultural program.

The festival maintains fire as the exclusive cooking method, but the program is not limited to bonfires. Guest restaurants, concerts, surprise performances, schools, talks, and special collaborations complete the two days planned for this edition.

“We have more than 40 chefs confirmed, among whom, for this year, we have 24 Repsol stars and 13 Michelin stars. Therefore, it is the largest number of food outlets we have ever had, per day,” says Gonçalo Castel-Branco, founder of Chefs on Fire.

Among the latest confirmations are Ricardo Costa, from The Yeatman, João Rodrigues, from Grupo MONDO, Gil Fernandes, from Fortaleza do Guincho, Diogo Formiga, from Encanto, Ana Leão, from Corrupio, Paulo Alves, from Praia no Parque, Pedro Pena Bastos, from Broto, Tiago Penão, from Kappo, Lara Figueiredo, from MACAM, Nathalie Inês, from Sála, and Miguel Peres, from Pigma.

The group joins previously announced names, including Zé Paulo Rocha, Elísio Bernardes, Tiago Bonito, José Lopes, Filipe Ramalho, Vasco Coelho Santos, Inês Azevedo, Rui Lima Santos, João Saloio, Miguel Laffan, Verónica Dias, João Magalhães, Afonso Dantas, Vítor Matos and Filipe Manhita.

The international lineup includes Fagner Buzinhani, Louise Bourrat, Angélica Salvador, Nelson Soares, Michele Marques, Matias Natuche, Petter Nyström, and Mário Clemente.

Chefs on Fire 2026 takes the kitchen to the fire.

Cooking exclusively with fire alters the way you work in the kitchen. Temperature control, the intensity of the embers, and cooking time all depend on different variables than those found in a conventional kitchen.

It is based on these conditions that the chefs develop the dishes presented at the festival, which include meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, and desserts.

The gastronomic offerings then extend to Bites, an area that brings together restaurants and guest concepts. Street Smash, Lupita, Arandu, Pop Bar, Little Moons Mochi, Gunpowder, Queijaria do Beco, Basca, Papa Açorda, Aquanostra, Sellva, Entreposto and Lisboeta are among the new additions.

Thus, the gastronomic program is divided between creations prepared over campfires and a selection of offerings from participating restaurants through the "Bites" concept.

Chefs on Fire 2026 blends cooking and music.

Music has its own place in the program and accompanies the gastronomic program during both days.

On the opening day of the festival, Silk Nobre, Agir & Paulo de Carvalho, and Bateu Matou will perform. On the second day, Carolina Deslandes presents “Carolina Deslandes & Friends,” a show created for this edition and part of the Artists' Panel.

The singer presents “Caminho de Volta a Casa” (The Way Back Home), a work built from personal memories and her relationship with Portugal, accompanied by other guest artists. DJ Xinobi closes the musical program.

The presence of music is not, however, a novelty introduced only in this edition. Gonçalo Castel-Branco previously explained that the idea for the festival also stemmed from the desire to bring together "good music, good food, good wine and good beer".

Chefs on Fire 2026 hides some performances.

Not all musical moments will be announced in advance. The program includes surprise performances, the times and locations of which will only be revealed through the official app.

Although using the app is not mandatory for this edition, the organization announced that it will be required to access the ticket for the next edition of the festival.

Chefs on Fire 2026 expands its program with schools and talks.

The parallel program adds other ways of approaching gastronomy. The Fire School is dedicated to cooking techniques with fire, and the Photography School establishes a relationship between gastronomy and photography.

Fire Talks introduces conversations into the program, and the Historic School explores themes related to history. Arts & Crafts and Beer Academy complete this area.

Chefs on Fire 2026 also includes three special collaborations between chefs and partner brands: Juliana Penteado with Skoda, Noélia Jerónimo with Milaneza, and Marlene Vieira with Primor.

Chefs on Fire 2026 has different types of tickets.

The organization offers different types of tickets, adapted to different ways of participating in Chefs on Fire 2026.

Among the options are individual tickets, intended for those who wish to participate in the event, and group tickets, designed for five people and which include a selection of dishes and drinks.

There is also a family ticket, aimed at two adults and two children aged 6 to 12. This option includes access to the Kids area, as well as a specific combination of dishes and drinks for adults and children.

Another new feature of this edition is a ticket associated with the festival's partner restaurants. Each participating restaurant receives a unique code that allows its customers to benefit from a discount on the ticket price, under the conditions defined by the organization.

The different categories follow the structure of the festival itself, which combines gastronomic offerings, music, and activities throughout the two days.

Chefs on Fire 2026 takes place at Parque Marechal Carmona, in Cascais, on September 19th and 20th.
