Registration open for the 15th edition of the Brussels Beer Challenge
Registration for the Brussels Beer Challenge 2026 is officially open.
As every year, the Brussels Beer Challenge brings together hundreds of breweries and international beer experts around one goal: judging and awarding the world's best beers. For this anniversary edition, the competition is introducing several important innovations to the category selection.
For the first time in the history of the Brussels Beer Challenge, a fully-fledged main category, NABLAB (No &/or Low Alcohol Beer), is being added. With this, the organization is responding to the strong growth and rising quality of low-alcohol and alcohol-free beers worldwide.
In addition, two new subcategories were included in the competition rules: Catharina Sour, the fruity and refreshing Brazilian sour style gaining international popularity, and Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy), a characterful, malt-driven beer style with deep historical roots.
With these expansions, the Brussels Beer Challenge confirms its ambition to give both beer traditions and new developments a full-fledged place within the international beer world.
