Brazil Wine Challenge will have a record-breaking edition with more than 1,100 samples evaluated
Bento Gonçalves will host, between Tuesday (16) and Thursday (18), the 13th edition of the Brazil Wine Challenge, a competition promoted by the Brazilian Association of Enology (ABE) that will bring together 89 specialists from nine countries to blindly evaluate 1,127 samples of wines and sparkling wines from 19 nations.
The jury is composed of oenologists, sommeliers, researchers, professors, specialized journalists, and professionals from the wine sector, reinforcing the technical and international character of the competition.
Record participation numbers
The Brazil Wine Challenge, the only Brazilian competition held under the rules of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), is reaching its 2026 edition with record numbers of participants.
The wines and sparkling wines will be evaluated without identification of origin or brand, in sessions conducted by specially designated panel chairs to ensure compliance with the criteria established by the OIV.
The results will be announced at the end of the competition.
