Yakuza, ÀCosta, KOB, XXL and Guilty are back “to work”: there are new lunch menus at Olivier's restaurants
The new offering arrives at locations in Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve, with different combinations of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and drinks.
The return to work sets the tone for the new lunch menus from the Olivier Group: Yakuza, ÀCosta, KOB, XXL and Guilty offer options ranging from sushi to Portuguese cuisine, from cuts of meat to burgers and pizzas. Prices start at €19.90, but conditions vary: not all include drinks or dessert, and some are limited to weekdays.
At Yakuza in Lisbon and Porto, the set menu costs 28 euros and includes an appetizer, main course, drink, and coffee. In this case, we start with Miso Soup or Chicken or Vegetable Gyozas; then, you can choose the Chef's Combination (eight pieces of sushi and seven of sashimi) or the Chirashi. Alternatives include Tuna Sando, Squid or Beef Yaki Udon, Miso Niwatori, and Shaker Yaki.
Portuguese cuisine dominates the menu at ÀCosta, in Lisbon and the Algarve. For 29 euros, you get cover charge, main course, drink and coffee, also on weekdays, except holidays. Fish options include Bacalhau à Brás (codfish with scrambled eggs and potatoes), Arroz de Tamboril e Gambas (monkfish and prawn rice) and Açorda de Camarão (shrimp stew); meat options include Abanicos de Porco Preto (black pork ribs), Carne de Porco à Alentejana (Alentejo-style pork) and Bife Tártaro (steak tartare).
At KOB in Lisbon, 22 euros includes cover charge, a main course with a side dish, and dessert. Options include KOB Steak, Sirloin Steak, Picanha, Slow-Roasted Black Angus Ribs, and Black Pork Secrets. Side dishes include French Fries, Rice Sautéed with Portobello Mushrooms, or Green Salad, among others. The meal concludes with seasonal fruit or ice cream.
XXL, also in Lisbon, has two daily lunch menus, both with unlimited fries. The Steak & Frites (€22.90) includes a warm baguette with Azores butter or salad with ricotta cheese, and a 200-gram entrecôte with Café de Paris sauce or Olivier sauce. The Burger & Frites, for €19.90, keeps the choice of starter and replaces the entrecôte with a 200-gram burger, served on brioche bread with cheese and one of the same sauces.
Finally, at Guilty in Parque das Nações there's a €21 menu with a starter or dessert, plus a main course, drink, and coffee. Starters include Focaccheese, Nachos, Octopus Carpaccio, and Olivier Beef Carpaccio. Main courses include Caesar Salad with Chicken, Chèvre Chaud, Pappardelle al Ragu, Guilty Mac & Cheese, Double Cheese, Guilty, Ira, and Corajosa. Dessert options include Guilty Sundae, Crunchy Decadence, ice cream, or a fruit mix.
