World Bulk Wine Exhibition, the major event for bulk wine, of which Spain is the world's largest exporter

Amsterdam will host a new edition of the World Bulk Wine Exhibition (WBWE) from November 30 to December 1, the major international event dedicated to bulk wine and spirits, in which Spain reinforces its leadership as the world's largest exporter.

The World Bulk Wine Exhibition, an annual event that brings together producers, wineries, buyers, importers, and distributors from around the world, takes place this year at a time marked by the transformation of trade flows, the search for new destinations, and the need to diversify markets. This scenario is especially relevant for Spanish wineries, as Spain continues to be the world's leading exporter of bulk wine, with 10.2 million hectoliters traded between April 2025 and March 2026.

The fair also comes at a time when producers and operators are reviewing their business strategies. Between April 2025 and March 2026, global bulk wine exports fell by 10.3% in volume and 11.8% in value, while the average price remained relatively stable at €0.78 per liter. Despite registering a 5.2% reduction in volume, Spain managed to increase the value of its exports by 0.9%.

In this context, regions such as West Africa, Asia and Central Europe are gaining interest for the sector, while categories such as white wines, varietal wines, bag-in-box and non-alcoholic or low-alcohol offerings are contributing to diversifying international demand.

The 2025 edition of WBWE brought together more than 2,150 professionals from 60 markets and 240 exhibitors in Amsterdam, with nearly 1,000 business meetings held during the two-day event. This year's edition aims to expand its reach by incorporating new producing countries and international operators, in a context where buyers, importers, and distributors are diversifying their supply sources and seeking new business opportunities.
