Cape Wine Partners takes over distribution for Steenberg Vineyards
Cape Wine Partners (CWP) has taken over the representation of Steenberg Vineyards from the Constantia Valley for the German market as of September 1, 2026.
The main focus of the collaboration is facilitating import deals and building long-term sales structures. In addition, CWP is responsible for customer support, sales & marketing, as well as tastings, trade fair appearances, and events in Germany.
“With Steenberg, we represent one of the most distinguished wineries in this traditional South African wine region. The aim is to build sustainable relationships with importers and distribution partners while simultaneously increasing Steenberg's visibility in the German specialist trade and gastronomy sector,” explain Uwe Röder and Hendrik Brincker of Cape Wine Partners.
In addition, CWP plans to establish a trust warehouse in Germany. This will make smaller quantities of selected Steenberg wines available to specialist retailers and restaurants during the start-up phase. Interested businesses can thus initially purchase the wines in smaller quantities while long-term import and distribution structures are developed in parallel.
“The local presence of Cape Wine Partners allows us to be closer to our German customers and to continuously develop the market,” says Nelmarie Baard, Export Manager of Steenberg Vineyards.
Steenberg Vineyards is located in the historic Constantia Valley near Cape Town and is particularly known for its Sauvignon Blancs and sparkling wines. Cape Wine Partners specializes in representing South African wine producers in the German market.
