While many traditional bakeries in Singapore have gradually disappeared over the years, Ng Kim Lee Confectionery continues to stand the test of time. Located just a short walk from Beauty World MRT Station Exit B, the long-running bakery still draws a loyal crowd of regulars today.

Don’t let its low profile fool you—Muffin Homme at Bukit Canberra Hawker Centre is one of the most underrated bakeries on this list, and one that’s sure to surprise you. The quality of their bakes easily rivals other established names, and best of all, none of its freshly baked treats cost more than $2.50.

Flavours on offer include Cranberry Cream Cheese ($2.30), Matcha White Chocolate Chip ($2.30), Double Chocolate ($2.30), Blueberry Streusel ($2.30), and Apple Crumble ($2.30).
