Amber-lit and extravagantly appointed in gold, silver, crystal, lacquer, etched brass. Embossed leather, the two-story space pays homage to an actual ambassador, the maternal grandfather of the sibling owners, Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi.
Beneath the gleaming surfaces, the food, too, is the real thing: rich and vivid, drawing on the traditions of undivided, pre-Partition Punjab. Some dishes are so elaborate that a third shift comes in overnight to get all the details right.
