MOS Burger Launches $7.90 Teochew Braised Duck Burger For National Day

MOS Burger is the latest fast food franchise to jump on the trend, with the launch of the Teochew Braised Duck Burger, priced from $7.90. This creative dish takes a classic of Singaporean hawker fare, the braised duck rice, and turns it into a burger. MOS Burger is already known for its rice burger, so it’s no surprise that they’ve used that as the base for braised duck slices and other ingredients.

The other ingredients are pretty universal when it comes to braised duck rice: tau kwa and hard-boiled eggs. Coriander, cucumbers, and tomatoes form the rest of this burger.

If you would rather enjoy this dish with actual buns instead of the rice patty, there’s also the Braised Duck Burger, priced at the same $7.90. Get it with some Sriracha Mayo Fries ($4.70 a la carte) and Lychee Berry Drink ($3.70 a la carte).

These can be enjoyed with the braised duck burgers as part of a $14.80 Combo Set. MOS Burger’s competitor, McDonald’s, also recently launched locally inspired burgers in collaboration with Old Chang Kee.

They’ve got the Curry Potato Chicken Burger (Single/Double, from $9.20/$11.20), inspired by the iconic curry puff from Old Chang Kee, and the Rendang Curry Beef Burger (Single/Double, from $9.50/$12.30), which layers a beef patty with rich rendang sauce, a fried egg, and chopped onions. Regardless of which fast food franchise you’re more a fan of, you’ll be spoiled for choice this National Day season.
