Burnt Cones Has New Dubai Chocolate Gelato Flavour For A Limited Time Only

Popular gelato parlour Burnt Cones, known for their various burnt ice cream cones, recently introduced a new flavour to the gelato lineup: Dubai Chocolate! The flavour draws inspiration from the Dubai chocolate fad that has taken the internet by storm over the past few months.

Unless you’re living under a rock, you probably would have come across tons of videos with people cracking into these popular chocolate bars flooding your social media feeds. These are not just any regular milk chocolate bars—they are filled with pistachio paste and knafeh, meant to give the bar an extra crunchy texture and nutty flavour.

Burnt Cones’ version comes in the form of a milk chocolate and pistachio-swirled gelato, topped with a mix of tahini knafeh and pistachio paste. We were also pretty impressed that the gelato slab was covered in a layer of tempered chocolate to mimic the iconic cracking action one typically does when tackling the chocolate bars.

The smooth gelato boasted a sweet and rich milk chocolate flavour with a subtle nuttiness from the pistachio, while the chunks of pistachio-laden knafeh added a good crunch. If you’re a fan of both chocolate and pistachio flavours, and can appreciate crunchy textures just like me, this is for you!

Plus, this flavour tastes even better when paired with their slightly browned Buttermilk Waffle ($7). The Dubai Chocolate gelato costs $7 for a single scoop.

This new seasonal flavour is available for a limited time only, at all five Burnt Cones outlets in Clementi, Thomson, Kent Ridge, Medical Drive, and West Coast. In related news, check out Bing Chilling, Bedok’s newly-opened gelato cafe that is a nod to the viral John Cena meme.
