Crossroads Diner, Dallas’s Favorite Sticky Bun Purveyor, Permanently Shutters
After nearly a decade in North Dallas, beloved sticky bun destination Crossroads Diner has permanently closed its doors.

The restaurant was just five days shy of its ten year anniversary when it announced its permanent closure.
Chef-owner Tom Fleming announced the sad news in a Facebook post on November 17, noting that the restaurant operated for 9 years and 360 days, closing just before its ten year anniversary. “I’m truly saddened that I am writing this, but the time has come. We have decided to close Crossroads Diner permanently,” Fleming wrote. “I thought we would make it to 10 year anniversary but we fell short by 5 days. 9 years and 360 days is still a damn good run.”
A stalwart of Eater’s map of the city’s best breakfast restaurants, Crossroads Diner opened its doors in 2011 on Walnut Hill Lane, and operated there until 2016, when a rent hike forced Fleming to move the restaurant to a bigger, arguably better space. In the years following, it developed a loyal crowd of breakfast regulars, thanks in large part to those gooey, decadent sticky buns.
Fleming hasn’t announced his next project just yet. “I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I’ll let ya know when I do,” he said.
