Lempicka Mexican Bistro, an innovative concept by Raúl Valencia
Chef Raúl Valencia, known to many from his time at Pehüa and Ostrería 109, has created his own space where he crafts innovative, fusion cuisine, featuring flavorful broths, new textures, and a subtle influence from other culinary traditions.
A tour of the menu at Lempicka Bistro
To start and share, don't miss the aged kampachi, d-tox mix, purple radish, and churritos from La Merced; and the grilled oysters with lemon verbena butter and Grana Padano cheese. An Arabic-inspired lentil dish with a vegetable sofrito and braised lamb breast is one of the most delicious items on the menu. The lamb melts in your mouth. Another must-try is the Querétaro beef fillet with pipicha, pepper sauce, and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are prepared in the purest Joël Robuchon style, considered "the best mashed potatoes in the world."
To close, all our applause went to a classic: Crepes Suzette with orange peel ice cream and crème fraîche. You won't find them like this anywhere else in the city. Another highlight of Lempicka is its wine list and mixology. Raúl Valencia and the head waiter, Cristian Uribe, personally select the wines, with delightful surprises like TEMENT – 2020 Morillon Muschelkalk Trocken. Südsteiermark Dac (Gebietswein), an organic Austrian Chardonnay; or a white Pet Nat: Espontáneo Moscato Giallo.
The original cocktail menu is the work of Daniel Reyes and Adrián López, who put a personal spin on classics, such as the Mojito, clarified with mint foam, or the Cherry Cobbler, the famous dessert made liquid with tequila, red berries, pineapple and lemon.
The place exudes freshness, elegance, and a desire to return.
